Bikram Yoga is a demanding 26 pose (asana) series. It is an intense
workout, challenging for both beginners and experienced yoga participants.
The room is heated to 42 degrees celsius / 105 degrees fahrenheit during
a 90 min. class. If you want to improve your stamina, increase your muscle
tone and lose weight/inches, Bikram Yoga is for you. This is not a meditative
class, be prepared to sweat and work hard! Bikram's Beginning Yoga Class
is not haphazard. It is designed to scientifically warm and stretch muscles,
ligaments and tendons in the order in which they should be stretched.
So follow the exercises in their proper order and you won't go wrong.
Bikram's twenty-six exercises systematically move fresh, oxygenated
blood to one hundred percent of your body, to each organ and fiber, restoring
all systems to healthy working order, just as nature intended. Proper
weight, muscle tone, vibrant good health, and a sense of well-being will
follow. We offer 26 bilingual classes a week at our state of the art
West Island studio. The studio has been built to accomodate all your
yoga needs, including a comfortable seating area, new showers in spacious
changing rooms with lockers, and a wonderful yoga room with huge windows
that let in a large amount of natural light. We also have 2 additional
locations, Bikram Yoga Montreal (Lionel-Groulx Metro) and Bikram Yoga
Plateau (Laurier Metro) offering over 50 classes a week. All Bikram classes
are suitable for beginners, new students please arrive at least 15 min.
